There will be a competitors meeting at 7:15, no check-in will be done during that meeting. Check-in will continue after the participants meeting and the Opening Ceremony. Your State Coordinator may have other plans to help expedite your check-in, please confirm with them prior to arriving.

The Awards Banquet will be a Poolside buffet style dinner, sponsored and hosted by the Double Tree. The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Ballroom after dinner. Attire for the evening will be cocktail attire. Sitting will be pre-arranged by state and will be counted by banquet meals sold or by RSVP.
Running Order – Will be posted at the host hotel, Tuesday. The running order will be in alphabetical order for both rounds; however the second round will be reversed. Competitors need to be on time for their event and must wear their competitor bib and wristband. Round one will begin on Wednesday and Thursday. Round two will begin Thursday afternoon and will finish up on Saturday. We will not know the running order until Tuesday, so please plan on being at the event all four days.
Slalom & kneeboard divisions will compete on Lake One; Wakeboard divisions will compete on Lake Two. We will be running two (2) divisions simultaneously on each lake. The running order will vary to allow for the maximum number of competitors to run each day.
If you are competing in more than one division, your wakeboard or kneeboard division will take priority over a slalom division. This is due to judging. We will arrange for your slalom pass to be run immediately before or after your wakeboard/kneeboard division. It is your responsibility to notify both dock starters of what other divisions you will be competing in.
Scores –
Will be posted throughout the day at scheduled times, see your USC Event Guide for scheduled times. Scores will be posted by your INT Member number not by your name or division. By using your INT number rather than your name we have eliminated protests of other competitors scores. (See protests for more details in your Rulebook.) There will be bumping. However, competitors will compete in the same division both rounds.
Slalom Scoring – Most slalom divisions are allowed a maximum of 4 passes, so plan your passes with that in mind. All regular divisions will be given a mulligan (one fall or miss on their opening pass) during the first and second round of competition. Pro will not receive a mulligan. Please see your INT League Rulebook for minimum and maximum speeds.
Wakeboard Scoring and Attack Sheets – We will be using the same attack sheets as we have throughout the year. You must however use tricks that are listed in the current INT Rulebook. If a trick is not listed, please check with the Chief Judge. Entro and mini outlaw wakeboarders will pick up, complete, and turn in their attack sheet at check-in on Tuesday. Entro riders will need to fill in their wildcard trick.
Equipment – It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure their equipment is ready to use. All participants must wear a floatation device with state bib over the top. Wakeboard’s & kneeboarders must wear helmets and use a low-stretch line. The safety director may ban any dangerous equipment.
Boat Rotation – The INT League uses the best boats the industry has to offer. Therefore, competitors must compete behind the boat drawn. Any request for a particular boat will be denied. Any complaints may result in disqualification without refund. Remember these lakes are only five to six feet deep and the boat weight is restricted, INT will stay within the manufactures Coast Guard Guidelines.
Judging – Any misconduct towards a judge(s) will result in disqualification without refund. All protests must be written by the competitor and must be given to the Judging Committee within 15 minutes after the results are posted. Protest forms will be available at the registration/information table. Abusive confrontations involving a participant, parents, or friends will result in the disqualification of the participant. No video replay will be accepted. The Chief Judge’s decision is final. Results are not final until one hour after event is complete.
Sportsmanship – Sportsman like conduct is expected at all events from competitors, family, and spectators. The INT League is hosting events for families; it is important to provide a professional atmosphere suitable for all ages. Un-sportsman like conduct and abusive language will result in disqualification without refund and removal from the event site. Anyone who has been drinking alcoholic beverages prior to their run will not be allowed to compete in the event. No drugs will be permitted at any event site.
Missing School? – We promise you will have time to do your home work and we even encourage you to volunteer to write an essay about what you will learn about yourself, others, sportsmanship, or the history of California. We guarantee there is plenty to learn. California full of exciting history and cultural differences!
Awards – Individual awards will be given to first, second and third place in each division. Overall awards will be based on the state with the highest scores. The State Coordinators and announcers will vote on the Spirit Award.
Refunds – August 4 – August 31, 90% of your entry fee will be refunded. September 1-14, 50% of your registration fees will be refunded. September 15 – October 1 no funds. No refunds due to weather.

2008 US Championships
Ski West Village, Bakersfield, CA
October 1-4, 2008
The INT League will be hosting its US Championships tournament at Ski West Village Bakersfield, California October 1 – 4. Waterski, wakeboard, kneeboard and wake skate competitors will compete over the course of four days to win the US Champion title.
Four hundred and fifty participants will travel from over 25 states to compete in this prestigious tournament and over 1000 spectators are expected.
The INT League considers a variety of factors when choosing the site for this celebrated event. The event requires two lakes side by side for optimum spectator viewing, and the lakes must be deep enough to host wakeboard boats. INT also looks for a location that has warm weather in October, a small risk of storms and natural disasters. They also chose lakes that are near a major airport, in a city with affordable hotels to host participants and sponsors, as well as necessary banquet accommodations.
INT League CEO Rick Stocks says, “After looking at a few other sites, we have decided to return to Ski West Village. The lake owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The town of Bakersfield is very excited to have us back and can meet our specific needs to host a fantastic event for our competitors and sponsors.”
Few lakes are able to meet the strict criteria INT sets forth when choosing a site. First and foremost INT wants all of their participants to have prime skiing and wakeboarding conditions so they can perform to their potential. Ski West Village offers great water and weather conditions to meet this goal.
“We encourage water sports enthusiasts to compete in their local INT League and work towards qualifying for the US Championships. It is a fun event, with daytime competition and evening entertainment. Special thanks to all of our sponsors for helping us host this amazing convergence of talented skiers and riders,” says Stocks.
