INT will offer both men’s and women’s pro wakeboarding and slalom divisions. INT’s main focus will remain on its amateur divisions. However we believe that adding the pro divisions gives an opportunity for the currently rated pros to meet, mingle, encourage, and help develop the next generation. Currently there are few women’s or men’s professional waterski competitions in the United States; INT specifically hopes to give women a place to compete and develop their sport. There are many pro level wakeboard events however the scoring focus can change from event to event. INT League offers a standard scoring format.INT Membership is required to participate. Any skier or rider can compete in the pro division; as well as their regular INT division at any local INT event. INT regular division for wakeboarding must be the Outlaw for men, Expert for women. For skiers Super Advanced Open for men, Advanced Open for women. If a competitor qualifies for the US Championship in both divisions they must pick between their regular division or the pro division they cannot compete in both.

Qualifying
Most INT events are held on private lakes; however lakes and conditions may vary. Pro divisions’ drivers and judges will be INT certified. Riders and skiers have to qualify at a local INT event to be eligible for the INT Championship Invitation. All pro riders and skiers scores will be posted on the INT web site. Only the top 12 male ranked competitors and 12 female ranked competitors nationwide in slalom and wakeboarding will be invited to the Championships. The purse has not yet been determined but will include 100% of the pros entry fees. There will be no bumping into the Pro Divisions.

Winning an Event at the Local Level vs. Qualifying for INT US Championships
For wakeboarding, winning a local event will be based on the total of both the trick score and the subjective score. However, because the subjective score is subjective and can vary from judge to judge, trick points alone will be the basis for the national ranking to assure fairness and consistency on the national level. Both scores will be posted on the web site.

For slalom, winning a local event will be based on the skier with the most buoys at the shortest line length.

Winning a local event does not secure you an invitation to the Championships. Pro competitors must rank in the top 12 in the country to receive an invitation to the Championships.

Local Purse
The pro division entry fee may vary from state to state, with a 75% payback based on total entry fees to the top 3 competitors in each pro division. In the event that a pro competitor does not qualify for purse payout at a local event, the purse money will be rolled into the purse at the next INT event in that state.

Wakeboarding
Pro riders will be allowed 5 tricks per pass. Tricks cannot be repeated. INT limits the number of tricks to encourage riders to throw a variety of technical tricks with amplitude. Riders will be allowed two falls in their trick run; the rider is not permitted to continue the pass after a third fall. Riders will accumulate points based on the tricks thrown, according to the INT trick list; they will also be awarded style points as an additional enhancement to the total score. The subjective scoring portion of the score is broken down into 3 areas with points divided as such:
Technical - 2500 points possible
Amplitude/ Altitude - 1250 points possible
Composition/ Layout/Variety - 1250 points possible
Wakeboarder’s are encouraged to notify the judges on any high level tricks that they may throw during their run, as to help with call scoring and eliminate miss-calls. To receive a purse payout the men’s pro score much be at least 11,000 without style points, and 7,000 for women. INT Coordinators may video a pro’s run to be reviewed by the wakeboard committee. In an effort to assure the best judging possible, pros may be asked to give a list of their potential tricks. Riders do not have to follow this list.

Slalom
Pro division skiers will not be limited by the four-pass minimum; they will be permitted to continue skiing until they fail to complete a successful pass. Skiers will not be permitted a mulligan. There will be no purse pay out if the score is below 3 at 36 mph 35 off in pro men’s slalom skiing and 3 at 34 mph 32 off in women’s slalom skiing.

US Championships
Theoretically, pro skiers and riders may only need to compete in one local INT event to be eligible for an invitation to the Championships. However, their score must meet the qualifying score and remain in the top 12 competing in each INT pro divisions.

Minimum Score to be Eligible for an Invitation:
Men’s Slalom: 3 buoys at 38 off, 36 mph
Women’s Slalom: 3 buoys at 35 off, 34 mph

Men’s Wakeboarding: 13,000 trick points
Women’s Wakeboarding: 9,000 trick points

Competitors in the pro division should check the web site weekly to ensure that they remain in Championship qualifying position. If a competitor drops from the top 12, he or she can compete in another local INT event to hopefully log a higher score.

Invitations will be announced at the conclusion of the INT season. Invitations will be e-mailed to pro division qualifiers and are due to the INT home office 2 weeks after the conclusion of the season. Participants who have not turned in pro division registration and paid the registration fees within the two week period will not be allowed to ski or ride at the Championships.

Rules and format are subject to change as the program grows and progresses.
