2012 will be INT’s 19th year hosting events in the US. It would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and great team of State Coordinators. Each coordinator is highly committed to hosting professional quality events and growing their watersports community. Training new coordinators is one of the keys to INT’s consistency and success around the country. Each year a group of Rookie Coordinators endure a thorough training process in order to become the event coordinator for their state.
INT would like to welcome Jesse Rorvig & Rachel Shaefbauer from Minnesota, Todd & Cheryl Coons from Southern California, Deno Maedgen and Sheryl Onn from Washington, and Steve Johnson & Teri Wright from Ohio to the INT Family.
This year’s Rookie coordinators spent two intense days in Seattle learning the tricks of trade to hosting successful INT Events. In true INT style, the weekend was a lot of work and a lot of fun. We culminated the training seminar with a tour of down town Seattle and dinner at one of the Northwest’s best restaurants, Iver’s Salmon house.
As we move into the winter months, INT coordinators will be attending boat shows to meet with dealers, riders and skiers. They will also be setting up the summer event schedule and meeting with lake owners, if you are interested in having an INT at your lake, please contact the state coordinator in your area.
Overton’s stepped up this season to really support the growth of our watersports community. Please be sure to stop by Overtons.com for all of your boating and watersports needs, receive 10% off with your INT Membership! Visit them on Facebook for more special deals!
One of the most inspiring riders of the 2011 season is Will Speed from North Carolina. Will was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2006, but hasn’t let that stop him from getting out on the water. He learned how to sit ski and quickly adapted to wakeboarding. He is now riding in competitions on a 2011 Shaun Murray Nova Core.
Will is motivated by many of the same factors that push the rest of us to get out on the water. “I figured if you’re going to do something you love, than you might as well go all out! I love the water and spending time with my friends and family…and, I’m actually good at it!” says Will. Even on chilly mornings, Will and his girlfriend get behind his 1987 Supra Saltare on Lake Norman to practice. He faces the same struggles, an endless search for glassy water and longer weekends. Will’s sponsor, Wave Noise has done a lot to help him get out on the lake. Read More »
Three regional events culminated the 2011 INT season last weekend in California, Arkansas and South Carolina. We have combined the scores of all three events to determine the US Champion in each division.
We would like to thank everyone for coming, especially those who volunteered to help out and congratulate all of the participants on their achievement!
